Visiting the most beautiful fairy tale castle in Germany

One of the most famous and beautiful castles in the world is the Neuschwanstein Castle. I love castles and I have always wanted to see this one in real life, not just in photos. Finally, I made it there in June. :D The castle is in Germany, near Füssen in southwest Bavaria. It’s easy to get there from Münich. It was built by King Ludwig II. in the 19th century.
I am sure this castle is familiar to everyone even if you don’t know anything about it. You would certainly recognize it from the Disney movies because this castle inspired Walt Disney. You can visit anytime of the year because it’s always beautiful. :) You would need to spend around six hours there If you wanted to walk around and see everything without being rushed. You can buy tickets online or in person. The queue is usually long. It would be better to go in the morning to get the tickets because the number of tickets is limited. The guided tour is organized in small groups. It lasts about 35 minutes in small groups and is just for the interior of the castle. One ticket costs 13 Euro for an adult, and it is always connected to a certain time slot.
Tip for you If you plan to visit!
If you plan to visit once in your life, I recommend that you take the bus and check the map! You can get the map for free when you buy your tickets. I am saying this because there are three ways to reach the castle. Of course, it’s up to you which one you prefer…these are just my suggestions. One way is to climb up, which takes around 20 minutes and is pretty easy, but you would miss the beautiful photo spots. Another way is to take the bus which stops at the spots where you can take amazing pictures, and the third option is to go by horse-drawn carriage. I think that would be interesting. The horses were definitely beautiful, but this way also just goes directly to the castle. You have to prepare yourself for the long queues everywhere, even just to take photos from the bridge, but usually move fast. Don’t worry, you would not miss your tour of the castle.
The castle and its surroundings are really like a painting. You feel like you are in a fairytale. The castle is a piece of art, inside and out! However, they are very strict there. You are not allowed to take any photos inside the castle. You can only take pictures of the view from a balcony next to the cafe. Taking photos of the rooms is strictly forbidden.
